Frequently Asked Questions

When should a tree be removed instead of trimmed?

Trees that are dead, leaning toward a structure, hollow at the trunk, or showing major root damage usually need to come down. Heavy storms and Stockton summer heat can stress trees fast, and a tree that looks fine on the outside can be unsafe inside. If you are unsure, send us photos and we will tell you honestly whether trimming or removal is the better call.

Do you respond to emergency tree work after storms?

Yes. After winter storms in the Central Valley, we get calls for split trunks, branches over roofs, and trees blocking driveways. We move as quickly as we can to clear hazards and protect property. If a tree has hit your home or is leaning over it, reach out right away and we will prioritize the job.

Do you grind the stump after removing the tree?

We can. Stump grinding is its own service and we usually quote it alongside the tree removal so you can decide if you want both at once. Grinding the stump below grade lets you replant grass, lay new sod, or pour concrete in that spot. Some jobs include grinding by default and others quote it separately.

What happens to the tree once it is taken down?

We haul away all the wood, branches, and debris as part of the hauling work we do. Larger logs are sometimes routed to firewood or mulch facilities, and brush goes to green waste recycling. Your yard is left clean and ready, and you do not have to deal with the cleanup yourself.

How much does tree removal usually cost?

Pricing depends on the size of the tree, how close it is to structures or power lines, whether the stump needs grinding, and how much hauling is involved. A small backyard tree costs much less than a large oak near a house. To get a free quote here, send us photos of the tree and surrounding area.
